The Google machine led us to this video from Vertical Playground, where you can see the new sole in detail (screenshot above). Five Ten's Stealth Rubber is pretty malleable stuff, so the use of smooth portions on the sole might actually work well. There's also a knurled pattern on the toe which will likely grip nicely when hiking back up for another run. We'll shoot to bring you guys a review sometime in the next few months. Retail pricing is set at $120.

Karver’s padded mid mid ankle and wrap around tongue is very comfy, snug, nice.New Five Tens are stiff. My Sam Hills after 9 months of use are still very stiff compared to sneaker style shoes but are much more pliable vs a new Karver.I ordered the same size Karver as my Sam Hills. The Karver is noticeably roomier inside.
